Mission
To respond to the relief and development needs of the world’s poorest people through our global network partnership
With the prolonged internal strife made worse by natural disasters of immense proportions, Somalia’s social service delivery is visibly poor.
What We Care For!
Emergency Relief
This is expected to take the form of rescue and relief operations. Working with government agencies and international bodies.
Water and sanitation
Somalia faces an acute water shortage and ARD is keen to ensure communities in Puntland
have not only access to water, but to quality water resources.
Health Care
A healthy population is a productive population. ARD hopes to complement existing players in the provision of quality and comprehensive health care to communities in Puntland.
Education Support (formal and non-formal Education)
World over, education is recognised as the most effective investment by any household. Sadly, due to various factors, education has been poor with no classrooms,
Democracy, Gender and Human rights
ARD will strive to employ a human rights approach to programming (HRAP) with an underlying view to protect the rights especially of the girl child and women.
Training/ capacity building programs
A people with employable skills are more likely to wither the instability of displacement, famine and floods. They are also less likely to engage in violent acts. Out of school youth will be trained in brick-making and masonry,
